ISI Jan Tinbergen Award 2027
Call for Papers
The ISI Jan Tinbergen Award offers a unique opportunity for a young statistician to present their paper at the biennial ISI World Statistics Congress 2027. Named after the renowned Dutch econometrician and Nobel Prize laureate Jan Tinbergen, the Award is sponsored by the Dutch Stichting Internationaal Statistisch Studiefonds (International Statistical Study Fund Foundation; www.sissf.nl).
The Foundation supports the development of statistics in countries with limited statistical infrastructure. In line with this mission, the Award promotes the professional development of young statisticians and encourages research that contributes to strengthening statistical systems and statistical capacity.
Applications are invited from statisticians born in 1995 or later, regardless of nationality. Submitted papers should address statistical problems relevant to strengthening statistical systems and statistical capacity in countries with limited statistical infrastructure. The theme of the Award is Statistical Systems.

Eligibility and Submission
Applicants must:
• Be born in 1995 or later. All co-authors (if any) must also meet this requirement.
• Submit an original, unpublished paper written in English. Material from the author's thesis may be included.
• Submit a paper of 3–7 pages.
• Clearly indicate the percentage contribution of each author if the paper has co-authors.
Previous winners of the Award are not eligible, including as co-authors.
Applicants must also submit:
• A curriculum vitae (CV).
• A brief motivation statement.

- €2,500 cash prize,
