The International Environmetrics Society Conference (TIES 2024) will be held from 2 - 5 December at the Mawson Lakes Campus of the University of South Australia (UniSA), Adelaide, South Australia.

The International Environmetrics Society (TIES) is a non-profit organization aimed to foster the development and use of statistical and other quantitative methods in the environmental sciences, environmental engineering and environmental monitoring and protection. To this end, the Society promotes the participation of statisticians, mathematicians, scientists and engineers in the solution of environmental problems and emphasizes the need for collaboration and for clear communication between individuals from different disciplines and between researchers and practitioners.

All contributions related to environmetrics are welcome, but we specifically encourage contributions related to the following application and methods themes:

  • climate change (adaptation and resilience)
  • natural hazards (rare events and extremes)
  • renewable energy
  • water quality and hydrology
  • sustainability and biodiversity
  • indigenous knowledge

  • spatiotemporal statistics
  • data fusion/integration
  • hybrid modelling
  • AI and ML
  • probabilistic forecasting
  • environmental sampling/monitoring/design
  • pushing the frontiers in environmetrics
