The BIS Irving Fisher Committee on Central Bank Statistics (IFC) is organising recurrent workshops on "Data Science in Central Banking" with a broad audience of practitioners and technicians to review the ongoing adoption of data analytics and business intelligence techniques and developments in the big data ecosystem.
The main objective is to showcase projects and share experience that can help to develop in-house knowledge and reduce the reliance on external services providers.
The 2023 workshop, co-organised with the Bank of Italy (BoI), will bring together central banks, international organisations, national statistical offices and other interested stakeholders and will focus on data sharing and access. It will take place in person in Rome from 17-19 October 2023 (with possibility of virtual participation for non-presenters).
