Webinar Overview:
Part 1: Presentations (75 minutes)
Our expert speakers will guide you through foundational AI methods such as machine learning
techniques (cluster analysis, correspondence analysis, factor analysis, and more). You will also gain
insights into AI ethics and explore existing pilot projects where AI tools are already being applied in local
government institutions.
Part 2: Interactive Focus Groups (75 minutes)
In the second half of the webinar, participants will break into groups for an interactive session. In a set
of parallel focus groups we will be discussing the role and potential of AI in administrative applications
and governance. Together, we will explore the opportunities AI offers, along with the ethical
implications, issues of discrimination, inclusivity, and other challenges posed by these emerging
technologies.
This is a fantastic opportunity to deepen your understanding of AI's impact on governance and to
collaborate with other professionals in exploring its future potential.

About the instructor

Theodore Chadjipadelis is Professor of Applied Statistics and the Director of the Laboratory of Applied Political Research, Aristotle University, Thessaloniki, Greece. His research interests cover the field of applied statistics and mainly refer to issues of experiment design, statistical research training, public opinion, political and electoral behaviour, electoral geography, election systems as well as urban and regional programming and development. He coordinated the Greek section of the program C.C.S. (Comparative Candidates Survey) – a co-operation between 30 research teams – and of C.S.E.S. (Comparative Study of Electoral Systems). He coordinates the Greek section of the program MeDem (Measuring Electoral Democracy) - a co-operation between 30 research teams - and of the Horizon project AI4GOV (Artificial Intelligence for Governance).
