Dennis Trewin
Dennis Trewin was trained as a mathematical statistician but had 40 years of executive management experience in official statistics in Australia and New Zealand. He was the Australian Statistician from 2000 to 2007. He has also been an Electoral Commissioner and an Associate Commissioner at the Productivity Commission. He has chaired and been a member of Boards/Councils in the superannuation and university sectors and the Policy and Advocacy Committee of the Academy of Social Sciences. Until recently, he was also the Chair of the Australian Mathematics Trust.
Cinzia Cirillo
Cinzia Cirillo is a Professor at the University of Maryland (USA) and Director of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Center for MultiModal Mobility (CMMM).
Dr. Cirillo is an internationally recognised expert in discrete choice analysis, travel demand modeling, and survey methodologies, including national household travel surveys and stated preference (SP) methods. Her work encompasses large-scale model systems and activity-based modeling
Giorgia Simeoni
Giorgia Simeoni has been the Istat Quality manager since September 2020. She is a senior researcher and has always worked in the field of quality in official statistics. She is also responsible for Istat reference metadata system. She is involved in international quality and standards-related working groups, like the UN Expert Group on National Quality Assurance Framework and the UNECE Supporting Standards Group.
Ed Humpherson
Ed Humpherson is head of the Office for Statistics Regulation (OSR). The overall aim of OSR is to ensure that statistics and data serve the public good. OSR supports the public’s right to have access to high-quality statistics that reflect the society we live in, driving quality improvements in data and statistics right across government in the UK. OSR steps in where there are concerns about the use of statistics and data in public debate. Ed is Vice Chair of The Motability Foundation, and trustee of Pro Bono Economics and Security Women.
Jan Smit
Jan Smit has around 40 years of experience as a statistician, an economist and in programme and project management.
Stanislav Minsker
Stanislav Minsker is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Southern California. He currently serves as a director of the MS program in Statistics and the co-director of the MS program in Mathematical Data Science (jointly with Xiaohui Chen).
His research interests are primarily focused on the theoretical aspects of high-dimensional statistics, as well as statistical learning theory.
Daniel Bartl
Daniel Bartl is currently a Presidential Young Professor at the National University of Singapore, appointed jointly between the Department of Mathematics and the Department of Statistics & Data Science.
