CSAMA 2024 - Biological Data Science
The 20th edition of the CSAMA school is set to take place in Bressanone-Brixen, Italy, from 23 to 28 June 2024.
This one-week intensive summer school, titled 'Biological Data Science,' offers advanced computational analysis techniques for modern molecular data in biology and biomedicine, including single-cell and spatial omics. Participants can expect a comprehensive program featuring lectures, hands-on exercises, and informal discussion sessions. Lecture topics will encompass fundamental theory, modern biotechnologies, statistical analysis, visualization, and computational tools. Hands-on exercises will utilize state-of-the-art datasets within the R/Bioconductor environment. By the course's conclusion, attendees will enhance their ability to design, implement, and interpret analyses on various types of molecular data, enabling them to make informed choices regarding analysis strategies.
The summer school targets researchers with a foundational understanding of experimental technologies in biology, aiming to transition from users of bioinformatics software to developers of analysis workflows. Practical sessions will require participants to navigate and modify scripts in the R programming language.
