Are you a young statistician or biometrician ready to take your work onto a global stage? The International Statistical Institute, in collaboration with the International Biometric Society, invites applications for the Young Ambassador Programme at the 33rd International Biometric Conference.
The conference will take place from 12–16 July 2026 in the vibrant city of Seoul, South Korea, bringing together researchers, practitioners, and thought leaders from around the world in the field of biometry and statistics.
A Unique Opportunity for Young Researchers
The Young Ambassador initiative is designed to empower and connect the next generation of statisticians and biometricians. Selected ambassadors will play an active role at the conference by:
- Presenting their research to an international audience
- Representing the International Statistical Institute at a leading global conference
- Building meaningful connections with young members of the International Statistical Institute and the International Biometric Society
- Contributing to collaboration and knowledge exchange across disciplines and regions
To ensure global representation, at least one Young Ambassador will be selected from a low- or middle-income country or region.
Beyond the Conference
The experience does not end in Seoul. Young Ambassadors may also be invited to support campaigns and ambassadorial activities of the International Statistical Institute in the year following the conference, offering continued visibility, networking opportunities, and professional development within the international statistical community.
