The International Association of Survey Statisticians is pleased to announce the publication of the July 2025 issue of The Survey Statistician (TSS), now available online here.
This issue features a wide range of contributions, including a historical overview of household surveys in Latin America by Andrés Gutiérrez and Xavier Mancero, an expert discussion on probabilistic record linkage by Tiziana Tuoto, and a study on navigating the disruption AI will bring to survey research by David M. Rothschild, Trent D. Buskirk, Stephanie Eckman, D. Sunshine Hillygus, Frauke Kreuter, and David Lazer. Early career survey statisticians are also highlighted, with articles on managing stratification on continuous variables by Ilaria Bombelli and Giorgia Sacco, and on sampling design and estimation in environmental surveys by Francesco Pantalone.
The issue further includes a review by Alberto Arletti of the book Mixed-Mode Official Surveys: Design and Analysis (CRC Press, 2022), as well as country reports covering Canada, Croatia, France, Hong Kong SAR, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, and the United States.
