The International Association for Official Statistics is pleased to announce that the June 2025 issue of the Statistical Journal of the IAOS has been published.
This issue opens with an editorial reflecting on the key takeaways of the most recent UN Statistical Commission. The editorial highlights the adoption of a suite of new international standards and guidelines at the Commission’s 56th session, while also raising an important question: should the pace of global standard-setting slow down in order to give greater attention to capacity building, particularly for less advanced statistical systems?
In addition to the editorial, the issue features 23 papers covering a wide range of themes in official statistics.
