UPLB CAS Institute of Statistics mourns the passing of Dr. Isidoro P. David, a true pillar of the Philippine Statistical System whose brilliance, integrity, and compassion shaped generations of scholars and practitioners.From building the foundations of the UPLB Statistics program to leading national and international statistical initiatives, he dedicated his life to advancing knowledge, improving public data systems, and mentoring countless students and colleagues. Even in retirement, he remained a fearless advocate for rigorous, honest research and better public understanding of statistics.
Beyond his many professional achievements, Dr. David will be remembered for his sharp mind, generous spirit, and the wise counsel he freely shared with all who sought his guidance. His legacy of excellence and service lives on in the lives he touched and the field he so passionately elevated.
