Publication of the Statistical Journal of the IAOS (SJIAOS) – Update

10 March 2025
The June 2024 issue of the SJIAOS

During the past few months, the production process of the Statistical Journal of the IAOS (SJIAOS) has been transferred from IOS Press to the new publisher (SAGE Inc.). This resulted in some delays at the typesetting stage which resulted in a postponement of the publication of the December 2024 issue to 17 March 2025. We sincerely apologise for this inconvenience. These delays are being progressively resolved, and we plan to publish the March 2025 issue before the end of this month.

It is also important to note that, from now on, all new issues (including the December 2024 issue) and associated online articles of the SJIAOS will only be published on the Sage Journals platform. The same platform already contains the entire historical archive of the Journal.

As a reminder, the main theme of the December issue of the SJIAOS is “Understanding the informal economy and informal employment – the statistical challenge”, providing different perspectives regarding the implementation of the new methodological standards adopted at 21st International Conference of Labour Statisticians (ICLS). All twelve papers contained in this section of the Journal are free access, thanks to the kind support of ILO. The December issue also publishes the four winning papers of the “IAOS Young Statistician Prize 2024” and five papers on “Innovative Statistical Methods”, filled with thought-provoking content and cutting-edge research.
